I picked up my grips made from Claro Walnut blank #CW78 this morning.

I had decided to get this particular set of blanks not only because of the nice coloration and highlights, but also due to the beautiful black speckling that reminds me very much of my favorite gun stock, which was made by the late Mel Smart.

These grips are just beautiful and you've fitted them perfectly.

I hope that it gives you some satisfaction to know that these grips have found a good home and that they will be enjoyed some day by my children and hopefully their children.

I just received the grips, and they are just beautiful. The color, fit and finish are superb; the gun looks and feels terrific in my hand.

It seems to me that these days that people rarely get what is promised when they make a purchase. Some companies such as Dillon and RCBS deliver exactly what they promise, and good for them.

Then there are the rare folks such as Cary Chapman who deliver more than the customer expects, every time. Quality work lives!

I'm going to spend the next hour or so just admiring them.

The grips arrived today; right on time. I'm speechless.

It is sad that all too often we expect to be disappointed when the actual product arrives and fails to live up to the promises delivered by the salesman, or company. When I opened the box that contained the grips, I was expecting to be disappointed, if even only slightly. I thought that the pictures on your web site may have set my expectations too high. What I found was that the pictures on your web site have the same effect as looking at a picture of a mountain as opposed to standing in front of a mountain. These grips are, without a doubt, works of art. The painstaking care that you have taken while constructing them is immediately self evident. The symmetry is remarkable and the finnish is as near perfect as I can possibly imagine. When replacing the factory grips, I found yours to fit the gun even better illustrating your care for detail. The grips have an improved solid, balanced feel while at the same time completely changing the aesthetic nature for the better.

Got the walnut grips today and installed them on my 45 caliber New Vaquero. Amazing. I've seen a lot of custom grips but these are far and away, the best. The pattern of the wood, the finish, the fit are great. They fit my hand perfectly. The medallions are placed perfectly and enhance the walnut. I can find no imperfections. My friends are jealous. This is one cowboy who will be proudly carrying this perfect working sixgun every place I possibly can.

Once I figure out a way to get rid of the glare, I will try to get some better photos. How do you eliminate the glare in your photos?

The birdseye maple grips # 450 arrived today. I put them on my 5.5" blued SBH and they are simply stunning! They are exquisite!! I can't find enough words to describe them. Fit and finish is perfect! The black hardware compliments the blued gun. I couldn't tell from the pictures on your site or those you posted on RF if the bottoms were flat or beveled, I would have taken them either way. But am glad they're flat.

This is my 5th set of your grips and is the most beautiful and already my favorite. I have no complaints about the others BTW. Without hesitation I would recommend your services to anyone. I have a couple of others I'd like to get, but will discuss those in a separate email.

I finished the final assembly of the Single-Six for my grandson today. The entire gun is beautiful!

However, without your grips it just would not look nearly as good. The fit of the grips to the frame is really unbelieveable. The wood is stunning and the finish is like a mirror. Everyone who has seen it immediately asks where did I get the grips.

the stock grips that came with my new revolver did not fit my hands very well...a bit too small of a grip with a checkered pattern that kind of had a bite when fired (not good). It was time for some new grips that were comfortable, and since I had a gold engraved revolver it wouldn't hurt if they were good looking too....I browsed around on the internet, and found your website. I immediately fell in love with the look of your grips. I made a short phone call to you, and had prompt, courteous service. It was really nice of you to work with me to get the grips I wanted. I bought your grips and as soon as they arrived I installed them. The grips fit the gun precisely....and fit my hands like a glove.......I WAS shooting 5"-6" groups @ 50 feet (.357 Ruger barrel length 4 5/8"), that was before changing to your grips. I used your grips and my grouping went to 2.5"-3.5" @ 50 feet!

Cary, your grips are not only made out of the finest woods, THEY FUNCTION AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK!! I NOW CAN SHOOT 50-100 ROUNDS IN COMPLETE COMFORT, MY GUN HAS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT FEEL NOW...IT JUST FEELS RIGHT, LOOKS RIGHT AND SHOOTS RIGHT! I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT YOUR GRIPS! Cary -- The 2 pairs of SBH grips are in my clutches now and like Heston said "those who lust after them will have difficulty prying them from my cold hands once rigor mortis sets in."

Your previous customers have used up all the common superlatives and I'm not searching Roget's thesaurus for more, so please be content with the knowledge that they're exactly what I asked for and nobody could have done it better, just like Carly Simon sang it. Who could ask for anyhthing more? Someone made that phrase into a famous song too. As Jack Benny always said, ' " Now cut that out Rochester".

See, if you live long enough everything reminds you of an old song or remembrance and that's good--not bad. A sharp mind and a lifetime of pleasant memories are what make the physical miseries of old age livable, and guns are among those strong experiences that we cherish.

Enough of the soapbox. I gave a friend who owns a gunshop a set of holly grips some time ago and he was stunned by the finish you put on my SBH set. He couldn't believe that was possible with just tru oil, so I volunteered to have you do the same thing on his if you agree. It's a full size Kimber 45ACP so no fitting is necessary--just polishing and finishing. If it's OK let me know how much for work and return shipping, I'll tell him to mail the grips and I'll send money by PayPal so you can return them to him.

I got the grips...WOW!!! They look fantastic! The light-color wood really looks amazing on stainless steel. And the beautiful high-gloss finish is flawless. When viewed from the rear, front & bottom - the grain on both panels crosses over and matches the other side. My eyes are popping out. The fit is spot-on and I like how you beveled the top of the grips where it meets the frame. No comparison to the (lack of) fit of stock panels. I'm speechless and truly happy with the grips! I got the grip frame/grips tonight when I got home and put the revolver back together, what a pain in the ass. It came apart much easier than it went together. Cary, I received the grips yesterday. I hope the mo has found you. The grips are awesome and done very well. They fit and feel great. I am pleased. Like I mentioned before I have a 50th anniversary and a bisley I want some different grips on. I will save my pennies and give you a call. I'll probably do these in wood. I like the colt slim profile but don't see many done like this on your website. Can you slim down current grips you have for sale, or would you just make new ones? How long does this usually take if you make new ones. You mentioned wood takes quite a bit longer due to the finish.
