These grips are stabilized wood and highly polished, there is no external finish to take care of. They are excellent for a hard used gun such as cowboy shooting. A coat of paste wax will keep them looking good. They can be easily polished back to a shine with a small buffing wheel in an electric drill using a bit of jewelers rouge. Or you can use Brownells triple F or five F rubbing compound on them.
